Believe me, I truly understand what you're going through! Having experienced a boudoir session myself, I know how all those insecurities can surface. I completely get it – the mix of nerves and excitement. Here's my top tip: take a few deep breaths, let go of looking in the mirror, and have faith in me to work that magic on you. Once we begin with your hair and makeup, you'll gradually start to unwind. With fun music playing and maybe something sparkling to sip on, it'll feel like a fun hangout with your girlfriends. I assure you, it's going to be an experience you absolutely love!

You have your choice of photographer, Shannon or Joel, that you decide at booking. We each have a unique eye and creative approach that we bring to our work. Shannon loves all things hair and makeup, so she typically does that portion, although we do have several other female stylists we bring in as schedules require. Some women prefer a female-only experience, and that is totally fine!

What we hear from almost every woman who comes through our door is that they don't know what they are doing. They are SO nervous. They don't know how to pose. They don't know how to look sexy. DON'T WORRY! That's why you have me here to help you! Every step of the way, I tell how how to pose, what looks best on you, how to get those great expressions, and everything else. It's my job to help you feel relaxed and to bring that sexy out of you. All you have to do is show up, be ready to be brave, and we will have more fun than you can even imagine.

No! The only way we show any of your photos to anyone is if we you have given us permission to share them! And, we only ask you for permission after you have seen the photos. Probably 75% of my ladies allow us some use of their images, but we NEVER pressure you to let us. We are just thankful that so many love their photos so much that they want others to see them too!

Firstly, no problem at all. I can give you some advice about what looks great on your body type and where to shop. But, I also have lots of options in my client closet, and you are free to wear anything from there you like. We have a lot of fun options! Also, maybe regular lingerie isn't for you. That's great too! Maybe you are more of a t-shirt and undies kind of girl. Maybe you want to wear something more like a lace dress. Maybe you don't want to wear anything at all! Whatever you want to wear or not wear, it will be perfect for you.

Yes! For our regular sessions, we start out with doing your hair and makeup so you look your best. We can do a little or a lot...all depending on what want. We usually recommend that we don't go too over the top, because we want your photos to still look like YOU!

Absolutely, I will ensure that your images receive retouching. During your photo viewing, we'll discuss the extent of editing you'd like to be done. However, it's essential for you to recognize your inherent beauty, and for that reason, your portrait selections will always be presented without any retouching – straight out of the camera with some minor color corrections. Your beauty doesn't rely on Photoshop manipulation; it's already there. The retouching process merely brings out the best version of yourself, and gives your photos that polished and professional look. It reflects how your loved ones see you every day. I know you may tend to focus on perceived flaws, but these photographs are here to replace those old negative beliefs about your beauty and self-worth, with exquisite and magnificent portraits. Because, let me tell you, you are undeniably and remarkably BEAUTIFUL!

In the weeks leading up to your appointment, it's essential to take good care of your skin. Avoid excessive sun exposure (maybe a spray tan a few days before the session is a better bet if you want to have more color in your skin), nourish your body with fruits and veggies, stay hydrated with plenty of water, and consider treating yourself to a refreshing facial for that glowing complexion.

On the day of your boudoir appointment, please arrive on time with clean, moisturized skin, and clean, dry hair that you've washed either the same day or the night before.

Maybe get a pedicure and manicure ahead of time, so you feel beautiful all the way to your toes!

So, you are going to love this. About 9 years ago, I talked my husband into letting me invest in a STUNNING 115+ year old Victorian house with original woodwork, hardwood floors, marble floors, tall ceilings, clawfoot bathtub, and more. To be fair, it didn't take too much work to convince him. I have the whole house, all three stories, styled with different sets for shooting. That's why almost every woman's session is different because of how many different things we can do!

Yes! Sometimes having your bestie along for encouragement is the little push you need to be brave. Or maybe you both want to do this and share the experience together - make it a total girls day! 

If you are doing this as a gift for your partner and want them to come, I suggest having them be a part of viewing and picking your photos rather than the shoot itself. This will allow you to focus on YOU during the session and getting the most out of the experience.
